Polyvalent Snake Antivenom

Products of National Significance to Australia
If the species of snake is not specifically identified, Polyvalent Snake Antivenom is available to treat patients outside Tasmania and Victoria who exhibit manifestations of systemic envenoming following a bite. Specific monovalent antivenoms are recommended for Tasmanian and Victorian patients. It is administered by a suitably qualified health professional, usually in hospital.
